Have you ever heard of the term… There is Money in Following Up?. That’s true. In my opinion following up with your prospects is the second best important skill after you have invited them to see your product/service and business opportunity to join your team.
You have to really understand that most of the people you invite and show aren’t going to join on the spot but they will either purchase the product/service or join your business after at least 10-20 follow up times. For most people when they read this they will be shocked and actually few people keeps following up with the exposures he did for the simple reason they do not have a tracking system.
So, new people that join network marketing really lack in the Following Up skill because it is one of the least taught skills out there. Most people I sponsor is because I did follow up with them for over 10 times before they actually joined my team.
So what is the purpose of Following Up?
The main purpose of following up with your Online MLM Leads and also offline leads is to
- Give your prospect more information
- Answer their questions
- Collect their decision
Now, do not want to use hype or pressure but you need to ask them to buy. You see, most network marketers doesn’t follow up. They either don’t want to do it, don’t understand the importance of following up or don’t know the right way to do it. Most people this is what they do, they go and share their business opportunity with someone ONE TIME and if they do not sign up on the spot they will forget about them and move on to the next person.
How to Follow Up with Online MLM Leads that get into your Blog!
Following up with people is an art and you need to learn it so then you can master it. This is why I have created this Follow Up Mastery to help you in doing so. Statistically 90% of people that join Network Marketing joined because someone followed up with them. That means that when you get good at this skill, eventually it will be simpler to close more people and grow your team because you have the know how.
My 3 Online MLM Leads Follow Up Strategies are:
#1 Have a Follow Up Standard System
Do you have a follow up process put in place? When you get online leads from your capture pages and on your blog what do you do next?
Here is a standard system, you might be eager to test out…
- The 1st Follow Up Step is to give them or send them out a sample of your product after you have shown them an overview video.
- The 2nd Follow Up Step is to put them on a conference call or a webinar to listen more testimonials and success stories perhaps live.
- The 3rd Follow Up Step is to put them on a call with your upline.
- The 4th Follow Up Step is to get them to an event preferably with someone you know (a team mate) or you trust.
- The 5th Follow Up Step is to get them updated with the new promotions/updates and how they can benefit from that.
Maybe you have a different plan and that’s great, but my point is you must have a plan in place. I recommend you to have at least a 5 Step System.
You can put this into a spreadsheet so you can track your leads using your follow up system. What you track can be scaled and improved.
#2 Follow Up Methods
I imagine that you have already a blog or some capture pages if you are reading this to be able to create a lead generation online funnel so you can collect your online leads contact… right! I currently use MailChimp but there are some great email marketing systems out there that will help you in this method. Here is the thing though… most people follow up only be email and in my opinion is the most least effective.
I strongly suggest you to combine offline & online methods depending on the distance. Here are the best Follow Up methods in order as effectiveness…
- Face to Face
- Phone or Skype
#3 Follow Up Frequency
This strategy is the most important one. I strongly agree with the term ‘The best way to eat the bread is warm’ which means do follow up with your online mlm leads within 24hrs-48hrs while they are warm or hot. You will filter or better qualify who are those hot leads from those who takes time to process the information.
Your main goal is to put your prospects and best network marketing leads in your entire 5 Step Follow Up Process. If they haven’t made a decision after you put them through your process, just keep follow them after 30-90 days until they do. People’s circumstances and situations change so this is why you must keep following up. This business is a business about timing. As long as you keep being humble, honest and professional by not using hype or pressure people and you stay in touch, many people eventually will become customers or business partner with you, when the time is right for them.
