Why you MUST have a Personal Brand?

This is something that really struck me most along these years and I had to take action upon it. The moment you understand this, it will be the moment that you can take your life to the next level.

Look in your current marketplace or niche market. Whether you are in travel, network marketing, online marketing or a chef (like I was for 13 years), who is out there that you look forward every time to see their social media statuses, new videos or fresh blog content?

Do you know why you look forward to them?

Because they have done a pretty good job with their branding to create a trust within you, became an authority and you associate their personal brand with value in some way, shape or form to you.

Did you know that YOU can create that type of following for yourself?

And if you are in network marketing, yes, the company you are with is the very best and you plan on always be there but no matter what, wherever you go, there you are. YOU are the constant in any endeavor you ever take on, why not stand out and attract people to YOU?

My 5 Personal Branding Tips are:

#1 Brand Your Personal Name

That is right… you Must Brand YOU! Yes that means Your Name, the one your mamma gave you! That’s because you are more secure than any company, product or opportunity out there and keep in mind that things change but YOU won’t. This is one of those personal branding tips that you have to do even if you haven’t reached yet your goals or the top position in your business.

#2 Engage & Interact

It is important to build your community and get engaged with your audience especially with those that follow and engage with you. Pretty simple, keep cultivating your best fans and engagers. Give value to them and guide them like a school teacher to help them get better results.

#3 Be Specific

This is your change to Grab Attention of your target audience. You have to ‘Speak their Language’ and you have to ‘Give them the Goodies’. Think about why they would want to listen to you or stay on your blog checking out your stuff and immerse themselves in your flavourful content? You have to tell them what they’re going to get and it’s a good idea to include how you’re going to make their life better.

#4 Be the Expert

One fantastic thing that can put you on the map as the expert immediately is YOUR STORY! This is important puzzle piece in building your Brand. How can your story relate to your Target Audience?

#5 Be Consistent

You’ve got to be real that your Brand isn’t going to be built overnight but with consistent action it will get built faster. I’ll see my mentors posting a video blog post almost everyday and then they’ll share it on Facebook, Google + etc and so many people are seeing them everywhere all the time…..what do you think this is doing for their Brand? That’s the goal right? Consistency is the key.

#BONUS Think Long Term

Long Term Successful thinkers are eventually those who go all the way and become successful. If you’re going to build an amazing Brand, you have to have a Long Term Vision. Brands are not built overnight but the Entrepreneurs that draw a line in the sand and make it happen not matter what…… Time not being an obstacle that will knock them down…..are going to be the ones that make it BIG with their Brand!
