Yes, I know that the company you represent has strict guidelines, in terms of not being able to use their trademark logos on your own blog. So, you will need a personal blog around your own name, so that you can share your story, give value and create your personal brand. Highly suggest to buy a domain using you name and surname dot com but if you have a common/popular name like John Smith you could use something like www.workwithjohn.com or www.johnsmithspeaks.com
2. Build your Email List
Invest in an email marketing system, such as Mail Chimp (you can start with the free option and then upgrade once your list grows or GetResponse (my personal favourite). Yes some email marketing platforms are free but they do not allow you to create follow up emails to send out automatically. You will need an auto responder, which is a paid for service, to build your list for following up with your potential prospects.
3. Invest in a CRM system
CRM stands for Customer Relationship Management system, they can be pricy or inexpensive, depending on the type you want. To get you started you can check out this great article for free CRM systems. The CRM will keep you up to date with the conversation that you have been having with prospects. It has a scheduler so that you can keep on top of the calls and follow ups that you have to make. Having an effective CRM system for your business is essential.
4. Establish Yourself as the Credibility Expert
No matter the type of company that you’re in, you need to position yourself as the expert. This is basically showing people that you are a leader and you have knowledge about your product and your business. People want to connect with experts, so they will join your team. If you establish yourself as a leader in a particular area of network marketing then you will have people who will want to emulate you.
5. Establish You.com
Establish YOU as the business by becoming an authority in your niche, not the company that your represent. This is very important to differentiate yourself from the pack and from what the masses are doing.
6. Likability factor
When you have your personal blog, make sure you have an about me section that is powerful. Tell people your story, why you are doing what you are doing (your mission statement) and what all this has done for you because of a decision you took, how your life changed once you joined the company (do not mention it) and show how you can help someone to make a difference in their life (create a Work With Me section in the menu).
Be authentic and transparent. People do business with people they like, know and trust. People will see that you are a real person and you will be real with them. You will attract people just like you.
7. Focus on Emotional Benefits
This one is so important. Focus on the emotional benefits of people joining your team or using your products. We are emotional buyers. Think about the last thing that you bought, how did it make you feel? How can you connect emotionally to your prospect?
Rather than just talking about the features of the products, talk about the products emotional benefits. You can only do this once you know who your target market is and what their biggest problems are. When you lay that foundation you will easily be able to communicate the emotional benefits and marketing won’t be so difficult.
