Travel Adventure – London Calling

London-3London Calling! After a long absence from being in the most metropolitan city in the world London, I felt the excitement to visit again and see what have changed from an absence of 8 years.

Well, certainly I didn’t see any change in the weather as it was quite cold actually freezing. There was a BIG underground strike which started a day prior of my arrival that totally blocked the city in a way that it took ages due to traffic to arrive to the centre.

It took me like 2hrs from Hounslow West to Oxford Circus. I know CRAZY! Anyways, it was a different welcome back to London Gordon!

So as I had literally hours spent before the weekend I wanted to go around which was tough. Apart from the Top London Sites which I gladly enjoyed visiting in the past, there was the London Eye which unfortunately as I was staying close to the Heathrow Airport I didn’t have the chance to go on time.

Had the chance to see Westminster and the surroundings, visited Knightsbridge and went to the ExCeL London Exhibition and Convention Centre which is where we had the event seminar during the weekend. It is a quite undeveloped area as a matter of fact not a lot of hotels nearby. As I saw it is a developing area for construction.

As I was saying before, I stayed close to the Heathrow Airport in Hounslow West visiting a friend of mine. I didn’t have the chance to go around there as I was waking up early like 5am to get ready to go due to the strike.

Luckily, during the weekend the strike was off and the underground was back functioning properly (although some stations were closed). It was a God sent as compared to my other friends who stayed in the centre, I had to travel 1hr 30mins back and forth by metro to reach the ExCeL London Exhibition and Convention Centre.

For some it is normal I know but for me it was something different as I live on an island. We had to meet for an epic photo session with the You Should Be Here’ Banners in front of Trafalgar Square then Buckingham Palace and Big Ben. It was so much FUN!

Moving on the weekend, it was exciting as planned. A Life changing experience, learning some great stuff from people like Eric Gryzbowski, Dr. David Pietsch, Xristos Christofi and Marc Accetta. Also the success stories that inspired thousands that attended. These professional tourists showed us the way how to plant the seed up to grabbing the fruits. Nuts and bolts in the business and entrepreneurship.

I’ve re-connected with my international friends and took the chance to spend some quality time with them to learn from each other to have more Fun, Freedom & Fulfillment in our lives. Then on Sunday night we spent the night clubbing at Pacha which is one of the best clubs in London.

Trip Highlights –

  • Finding my Street Name ‘Gordon Street’
  • Group Photo in front of Buckingham Palace
  • The Police asking me about our blue banner, thinking we are doing a protest
  • Eating Fish & Chips at Little Frankie’s
  • Meeting Top Leader of our company James Lee for the first time
  • Taking over the Metro with the Blue Banner Gang
