The also known as the ‘Avon Lady’ has won hundreds of awards over the years for her dedication, making the President’s Club and averaging at least $10,000 in sales each year in Nebraska.
Recently, she accepted one of the greatest awards: being honored as one of the oldest active salespeople in Avon history.
She is truly an inspiration to all of us.

#1 Create strong relationships
Her customers are no longer just customers — they’re dear friends.
Over the years Opal, created strong relationships with her customers now friends for life.
That’s the beauty of this business… you create relationships and Opal’s secret no.1 is what drove her up till now.
“I love them and they love me too”
This interaction, according to her grandson, Ben Greene, is what keeps her going.
#2 Stay committed to the process
Greene is a tough cookie.
She has always been so determined from day one and being committed all these years is an inspiration already.
Part of her success is by being committed to her business that she learned how to embrace and love.
It is a great example that when you embrace the process you become addicted to it.
#3 Be passionate
She found her love for the products and that amplified by being so passionate all these years (54 years) being a representative with the same company.
Up till today, Opal separates the products into special Avon bags before her customers show up at her house for collection.
#4 Be resilient
Opal Greene even kept selling through her fight with colon cancer 15 years ago, a brain aneurysm a few years ago and severe car accident last year.
None of that was enough to keep her away from her duties as an Avon Lady.
“I was in the hospital and they had to keep me overnight,” she said, referring to the car accident. “I told them that’s fine, just as long as I could get out the next morning to deliver my Avon orders.”
#5 Keep going & never quit
At her age, she still keeps going even with a little help from her daughter in law when it comes to processing her customers orders using the computer or most of her customers even go to her house to pick their products.
Regarding income it’s been a solid income for her, as well, or as she likes to call it, her “mad money.”
“It allows me to buy things without having to dip into my funds,” Greene said.
Opal just never stops and she will not stop anytime soon either.
